Board Applications


Applications for the 2018-2019 Board are now closed.  Please check back in December 2018 for information regarding the next Board selection process. 

The Buck-I-SERV Board is composed of 15 students who dedicate time to aid in the coordination, planning, facilitation, and execution of all Buck-I-SERV trips and trainings. The Board serves as the student voice and leadership for Buck-I-SERV. Board members meet weekly, on Tuesday evenings, throughout the entire academic year for training and planning. The Board position is un-paid.

Members of the Buck-I-SERV Board will be expected to:

•    Communicate with service agencies and develop initial travel plans for winter, spring and summer break trips, and assist with pre-trip preparations. 
•    Work cohesively as a team to enhance the overall Buck-I-SERV experience
•    Represent the Buck-I-SERV community and the student body positively and professionally
•    Participate in leader trainings, Trip Kick-off, Welcome Back Gala and other large events
•    Promote Buck-I-SERV to the campus community by reaching out to their peers, hosting a table at fairs, and giving classroom presentations 
•    Hold office hours one hour per week or when needed
•    Participate in additional meetings as required 
•    Attend weekly advisory board meetings on Tuesdays from 6:30 – 8:00 PM
•    Attend the "Leadership in Service Learning" course held Wednesdays from 4:10-6:50 PM during the second half of spring semester
